Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: March 7, 2026

Some pages on Boundary Playbook contain affiliate links. Here's what that means and why we do it.

How affiliate links work

When we recommend a product or service, we sometimes link to it using a special URL. If you click that link and make a purchase, we earn a small commission. The price you pay stays the same whether you use our link or go to the site directly.

Our affiliate partners

We currently have affiliate relationships with:

  • BetterHelp for online therapy referrals. When we suggest someone talk to a professional, we link to BetterHelp because it's accessible and well-reviewed. We earn a referral fee if you sign up through our link.
  • Amazon for book and product recommendations. When we mention a book on boundaries or communication, we link to it on Amazon through their Associates program.

How we choose what to recommend

We only recommend things we'd suggest to a friend. The affiliate commission doesn't influence what we write. If something is bad, we don't recommend it just because it pays us.

If we mention a product or service that we don't have an affiliate relationship with, the link goes straight to their site with no tracking.

Where you'll see disclosures

Every page that contains affiliate links includes a note near the link that says something like: "This page contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you." We don't hide it.

Why we use affiliate links

Running a site with well-researched, expert-reviewed content takes time and money. Affiliate commissions help cover those costs. The alternative would be paywalling content or running intrusive ads, and we'd rather not do either.
